SIT Launches its First Annual Tripartite Event and Official AVP

On April 6, 2024, the School of Information Technology conducted its first launch of the annual tripartite event entitled “SIT Kapihan: Venturing into Tripartite Collaboration.” This event encapsulated the duty of UB-SIT and its partner HTEs to act in the best interest of the students and other stakeholders, providing a platform for open discussion and idea-sharing to enhance stakeholder partnership. With activities and discussions that promoted student growth and teamwork, clarified roles, and encouraged engagement in beneficial dialogue, the SIT Kapihan was an enriching event. It allowed members of the department to update existing Program Objectives and Outcomes, aligning them to industry requirements.

During the session, participants, including partners, alumni, and students, engaged in meaningful discussions. Insights and perspectives were exchanged, along with suggestions regarding potential improvements or modifications to the existing courses. The goal was to discuss the program objectives, outcomes, and program indicators that ensure students acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies to succeed in their careers.

The SIT also launched its official Audio Visual Presentation (AVP) to showcase the different programs, including Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE), Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), and ACT in Multimedia. Additionally, the AVP presented the department’s activities, talents, creativity, and competencies of students along with its mission, which is to create a dynamic learning environment conducive to the development of globally competitive IT professionals.

The SIT Kapihan Session provided a valuable platform for collaboration and idea-sharing among stakeholders, aiming to improve student experiences and program outcomes. Through open discussions and the launch of an official Audio Visual Presentation (AVP), the event emphasized SIT’s commitment to creating a dynamic learning environment for its students that fosters the development of globally competitive IT professionals through innovative programs and a supportive community.
