A seminar on financial funds, security, and insurance was held in Room D202 of Building D within the University of Baguio premises on October 21, 2023, to promote financial literacy among young adults. The audience consisted of fourth-year students from the School of Information Technology, engaged by the insightful presentation given by Engr. Kendal Harry Magwa. The primary objective of the session was to emphasize the significance of financial readiness during the transition into adulthood, explaining essential strategies for maintaining financial stability amidst future uncertainties.
The speaker talked about handling financials properly and why it is also an investment. Financial management starts at an early age. One must get insurance, not just to have additional expenses, but this will help not just the individual but their families in the future.
Getting insurance will lessen the cost of emergency expenses, like hospital bill expenses, because insurance will help pay some of the bills. Also, this provision extends support to the family in the unfortunate event of one’s death. In such circumstances, the insurance policy ensures financial assistance to your loved ones, helping any potential debt load.
